A native of Red Lodge, Montana, Mike Koski developed a love for the mountains of his home state early in life. Weekend fishing trips in the Beartooth Mountains with his grandfather reinforced his appreciation of nature’s beauty and fostered a curiosity for geology.
While Mike focused on a career as a geologist and raising his family near Columbus, his second passion was always watercolor. Loving the way the transparent pigments of watercolors blend and move, Mike captures this magic in his Montana landscapes.
